Occupations requiring formal training

Cutting machine operator (m/f/i)

Cutting machine operators make metallic precision tools and components for all kinds of technical products. They set up turning, milling, eroding and grinding machines and modify CNC machine programs for these machines. Then they clamp metal parts and tools into the machines, align them and start the work process. They check that the dimensions and quality of the workpieces meet the specifications. Furthermore, they assume servicing and inspection tasks on the machines.

Format of training:
  • Dual training program held at the company and vocational training college
Training duration:
  • 3.5 years
Requirements:
  • Good secondary education certificate as a minimum
  • Favoured: Certificate from extended secondary education
  • Diligence
  • Technical understanding
  • Good knowledge of mathematics

Subsequent qualification:

  • Internal company training covering CNC, CAD and design
  • Technician (after apprenticeship test passed)
  • Master (after apprenticeship test passed)
  • Participation on courses (after apprenticeship test passed)

We are also offering apprenticeship training positions for cutting machine operators for 2022, and look forward to receiving your application.

Cutting tool mechanic (m/f/i)

Cutting tool mechanics make and repair precision tools using turning, milling, grinding and eroding methods. They apply different metalworking techniques such as grinding and polishing by hand, as well as mechanical grinding processes such as circular grinding. They check that the dimensions and quality of the workpieces meet the specifications. They write and optimise as required programs for the computer-aided control of machine tools. Furthermore, they assume servicing and inspection tasks on the machines, and check and measure the workpieces for quality assurance.

We are also offering apprenticeship training positions for industrial mechanics for 2022, and look forward to receiving your application.

Industrial mechanic (m/f/i)

Industrial mechanics ensure that machines and production systems are fully functional. They make equipment parts as well as machine components and groups, and assemble them onto machines and technical systems. They then set up and start them, and test their functions. Servicing and maintaining systems are also part of their work. They determine the causes of faults, order the right spare parts or make them themselves, and carry out repairs. Following installation and test work, they provide instruction to colleagues or customers on operation and use.

Technical product designer (m/f/i)

With specialisation in machine and system design

Technical product designers devise and design tools, components, assemblies and complete systems in line with customer requirements. In conjunction with the Development department, they generate detailed models on CAD systems, such as for the upgrading of machine tools. In the process, they observe the relevant standards and enter dimensions suitable to be used by the production process. They take into consideration electrical components, select suitable standard parts and select materials in line with the requirements. They implement modification suggestions constructively. They ensure that developments can be realised cost-effectively. They also create assembly plans, production documents and part lists. They update product documentation, manage the different development versions and back up data.
